About Page - What

GraceAccepted.com was created in the fall of 2014 as a blog to share about a year long mission trip on Team Ministry with Youth Encounter. Katie’s hope in creating Grace Accepted was to stay in touch with family, friends, and supporters while away from home. The goal was to spread the word about how Christ is working in and through the communities visited. In the fall of 2015, Katie accepted a position as a youth director in southeastern Nebraska. She still seeks to share the real (and sometimes unbelievable) stories of her continued ministry.

Grace Accepted’s mission is to glorify the name of God and spread the news of his unfailing love through sharing stories, photos, testimonies, and the Word.

Katie is excited that you have decided to join Grace Accepted and follow along!

About Page - Who_edited-1

01Meet Katie, a young woman with a heart for serving God. On September 15, 2013 she revealed to her family and friends that she would spend one year serving on a Youth Encounter National Ministry Team. The idea behind the blog Grace Accepted began there as she created a Facebook Page to share her journey.

Katie enjoys music, writing, reading, friends, family, and camping. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Wayne State College. As an adult, Katie has worked for YMCA Camp Kitaki, Tabitha Health Care Services, and Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church. She is on a journey of discerning and following God’s call. Katie will be served on Captive Free East Lakes during the ’14-’15 Ministry Year! She has been a youth director since September 2015.

Katie grew up in the Cornhusker State (that’s Nebraska, if you didn’t know) and will always have a heart for her hometown, but she is excited to travel and experience what different states have to offer. One of the biggest challenges in life is to accept that God’s grace cannot be earned nor denied. Join Katie as she continues to spend each day learning and growing in His presence. Maybe she’ll even learn about accepting grace.
